Insta360 Luna Pro Launches In China
Insta360 has launched the Luna Pro in China, a single-lens gimbal camera that sits alongside the Luna Ultra which was introduced in Malaysia in June. The new model features a 1-inch camera paired with an f/1.8 20mm lens co-developed with Leica, and is designed to capture both highly stabilised video and still images.
Like the Ultra model, the Luna Pro features a detachable 2-inch OLED remote display, allowing users to preview and control recordings from up to 20m away. Also onboard is Insta360’s Deep Tracking 5.0 AI technology that can automatically frame and follow subjects while recording. Furthermore, the camera features wind-noise reduction and voice-clarity technologies, with audio captured at up to 48kHz and 32-bit AAC.

For video, the Luna Pro supports 8K Dolby Vision recording, 4K 30fps vertical selfies and 4K 120fps slow-motion footage. It can also capture 360-degree spherical panoramic photos, giving users several options beyond conventional single-camera shooting.
Professional users can record in 10-bit I-LOG with up to 14 stops of dynamic range, while native Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve compatibility allows footage to be imported directly for colour grading and editing. For more casual creators, AI-powered editing tools in the Insta360 app can automatically help turn captured footage into social media-ready content.

The camera can also switch between vertical and horizontal shooting without requiring much setup. Pulling down the rear cover exposes the camera for vertical shooting, while rotating the display enables horizontal recording. Insta360 claims up to 240 minutes of runtime, while storage comprises 47GB of built-in space with support for up to 2TB through an optional microSD card.

The Insta360 Luna Pro is available in China in Star Black and Moonlight White, starting at CNY3,399 (~RM2,043) for the standard package, which includes accessories such as a carrying case and wrist strap. Unfortunately, Insta360 has yet to announce whether the Pro will be released in other markets, including Malaysia.
